Where It Began
The idea for Y Studio had been growing quietly for years.
After years of working in the nail industry and experiencing both nail services and salon management, I knew that one day I wanted to create something of my own.
“Not simply another nail salon, but a space shaped by the things I believed mattered most...”
Not simply another nail salon, but a space shaped by the things I believed mattered most: thoughtful service, genuine care, beautiful details and the feeling of being able to slow down for a moment. I wanted guests to leave feeling relaxed, looked after and completely satisfied—not only with their nails, but with the experience as a whole.
The dream was already there. Then one small moment gave it a new meaning. One day, my daughter came home from preschool with blue nail polish on her fingers. After that, she kept talking about how she wished she could have every colour of nail polish.
“One day, Mummy will open a nail studio.”
I told her: ‘One day, Mummy will open a nail studio.’ It was a simple sentence, but it stayed with me. A dream I had carried for years quietly became a promise—one that reminded me to keep moving forward and to build something she could one day feel proud of.
The letter Y is quietly shared across the names of the three people at the heart of this story. Although our names are different, the same letter connects us. It became a small symbol of family, support and the shared promise behind the studio. That is how Y Studio found its name.
Today, Y Studio is being created as a calm and considered space where each guest can feel genuinely cared for. Every material, service and detail has been chosen with intention, so that time spent here feels like more than an appointment.
It is a moment to pause. A moment to feel looked after. A moment just for you.
Dreams often begin quietly. Sometimes with years of experience. Sometimes with the courage to begin. And sometimes… with a little girl who came home from preschool with blue nails, and a promise that had been waiting to be kept.
A shared promise, a moment just for you.
